Eighty Members played on the immaculate Reddish Vale course, in what has been by far the best weather which they have enjoyed throughout the year.

The winners again came from the north of the region, with the ever popular Ged and Joe Gaffey coming home with a clear 3-point win on 47points.

Ged from Bolton Old Links and Joe from Swinton Park were followed by another pair from Bolton Old Links, The Society Treasurer, Ian Brooks partnered by Kevin Shea on a very commendable 44 points.

In third place representing the south were Roger Attwater and Bill Higginbotham from Bramhall, with 41 points, on a card play off from Daniel Stone and Edwin Thomas from The Manchester Golf Club.

The Society Captain Robbie Phillips suitably assisted by Jeff Stockton, the Captain of Reddish Vale, did well on 40 points, a score shared by Ken Webb with Eddie Pimlott from Bramall Park and Jeff Hibbert partnered by Tom Lythgoe from Turton.

The Members enjoyed both an excellent day and the dinner which followed in the Reddish Vale Clubhouse.

The pictures show a few of the stragglers finishing off after the slight rise on the 18th, whilst Robbie Phillips took a "glass" with the RV Captain and their President Arthur Cooper.
