24 players - 13 x 2008 Past Captains plus
the Captain of Worsley
Golf Club and 10 Executive members. Played in this the
inaugural meeting of the Past Club Captains from 2008. The
format being Single Stableford off full handicap
The
weather was good and the course and greens were presented
in an excellent condition
The Winner with a magnificent 39 points was Derek Dooley
from Didsbury and he was presented with a suit carrier emblazoned
with the Society Logo.
2nd.
place Shushil Aggarwal, from Bramhall with 38 points receiving
4 crystal whisky glasses.
3rd.
place Stewart Devalle, from Breightmet with 35 points receiving
2 crystal whisky glasses.
The winner of the executive Competition was Guess who?!!
Ian Brooks on 39 points and he also had the only 2 of the
day on the 6th hole receiving 9 golf balls i.e. 6 for first
place (from Exec.) and 3 balls for his 2
Other scores of note from the Executive were Alan Preston
on 36 points and Colin Shadbolt on 30 points
The Captain indicated that although we were disappointed
in the response from the Past Captains it was The Executives
intention to play the Competition again next year.
