President’s Day on Tuesday 9th August 2011 was held at Swinton Park Golf Club.

80 members played the course which was presented in excellent condition and the weather was fine.

The starters were John Milner and Bert Thompson who got all the members off on time.

Tony Bowden, the Competition Chairman was unavailable due to holiday commitments but Roger Attwater and Tony Draper were very able substitutes.

After an excellent dinner Jim Whelan the President of the Society thanked all the members for supporting him on this his President’s Day. He thanked Swinton Park G C for their support in hosting the day for him. He then presented the usual commemorative plaque marking our visit, to the President of Swinton Park G C

Prizes were then presented to the winners.

First Place – after card play off- with 42 points
