Manchester and District Golf Captains
Match versus Leeds Captains at Garforth Golf Club
13 June 2018

See Gallery below for all images The Manchester players were entertained by The Society of Leeds Captains at Garforth Golf Club on 13th June.

The McKenzie designed course, situated in flat and attractive parkland, provided a pleasant venue that was in excellent condition.

The fine late Spring weather continued to favour us.

Following dinner Leeds secretary John Knott welcomed everyone to his home course and Captain Ian Gledhill thanked the host club and proposed a toast the Manchester team.

Tony Gregory responded and confirmed that Leeds had won the encounter by a large margin – 7½ to 2½ - which meant that the recently commissioned “Roses Bowl” will rest over the Pennines for the first time.
